AFSA General Director meets the heads of insurance companies under supervision.
Under the quality of the new head of the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority, Mr. Ervin Koçi, on 2 May 2017, held his first meeting with the heads of the insurance companies supervised by this authority.
The purpose of this meeting consisted in identifying various issues for a better interaction between AFSA and the entities that operate in the insurance market.
During the meeting, the General Director of SiCRED sh.a., Mr. Koxhaj, in his speech, expressed his opinion on the life insurance market, emphasizing the necessity of public education especially for life insurance products with financial direction, but not only, including private health insurance products and other new products. Among other things, the founding of the Association Life Insurers, Pensions and Investment Funds and the beginning of its normal function, was underlined in this meeting.

During the meeting, the General Director of AFSA, Mr. Koçi, expressed the will of AFSA to achieve an Albanian insurance market comparable with the countries of the region. According to him, improving the legal basis of the insurance market, supporting the development of existing products, creating new products, conducting timely payment of damages to all insured people etc., will be the key elements in fulfilling the mission of defense and strengthening consumer confidence.
