As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, SiCRED joins the “Pink Heart” campaign — an initiative launched for the first time by SOS Children’s Villages, conveying a message of care, solidarity, and the importance of regular health check-ups.
A total of 213 women and girls from the Family Strengthening Program in Tirana and Shkodër took part in this initiative, collecting over 900 glass materials for recycling. These materials were later transformed into unique handmade pins, crafted by skilled glass artisans.
With every purchase of a “Pink Heart” pin, the contribution directly supports the provision of healthcare packages for the 213 participating women and girls — an inspiring example of community unity in the service of care and well-being.
Care begins with awareness
October reminds us of the importance of routine check-ups, which are well-known and effective tools for the early detection of breast cancer. Early diagnosis significantly increases the chances of successful treatment and full recovery.
Through this initiative, SiCRED aims to encourage every woman to take care of her health, not to overlook preventive check-ups, and to view self-care as an expression of love and responsibility.
